The 2008 Science Session in Kanagawa
The "Forum: Messages for Coming Generations" with Nobel Laureates in Japan is sponsored by The Yomiuri Shimbun and Japan Broadcasting Corp.(NHK), and is supported by the the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and major Japanese companies. First held in 1988, the annual forum is aimed at providing Japanese audiences with the opportunity, through keynote speeches, panel discussions and question-and-answer sessions, to listen to laureates and talk to them directly about various issues facing society in the new century. The forum has proven highly popular and has an established reputation at home and abroad as one of Japan's premier intellectual events. Forums in 2008
